Today, we stop collecting data on the residents' houses and public facilities in the 30 sub-districtsPandeglang (ANTARA) - A 6.6-magnitude earthquake that hit Pandeglang, Banten District on January 14 affected 30 sub-districts in 171 villages, with a total of 2,556 houses damaged.
"We are optimizing the best services for disaster victims by prioritizing logistical assistance and verifying the damaged houses and public facilities," Head of the Pandeglang Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency, Girgi Jantoro, stated on Friday.
The tectonic earthquake, with the epicenter in the waters of Ujung Kulon, was strong enough to impact 30 sub-districts and 171 villages, resulting in damage to thousands of houses and public facilities.

The affected sub-districts comprised Sumur, Panimbang, Cikeusik, Cimanggu, Mandalawangi, Cibaliung, Sukaresmi, Munjul, Carita, Angsana, Pagelaran, Jiput, Saketi, Bojong, Cigeulis, and Cibaliung.
Banjar, Sobang, Majasari, Menes, Pulosari, Cisata, Labuan, Cibitung, Cimanuk, Cikeudal, Picung, Cipeucang, Patia, and Kaduhejo also bore the brunt of the strong quake.
In these 30 sub-districts 1,614 homes suffered light damage, 567 were moderately damaged, and 375 were heavily damaged.
Some public facilities affected by the disaster comprised 62 schools, 17 health centers, seven government offices, 15 masjids, and three business premises.
No fatalities were reported following the earthquake, though two were injured.

"Today, we stop collecting data on the residents' houses and public facilities in the 30 sub-districts," he remarked.
Several people in Munjul Pandeglang pressed for home repairs to be commenced at the earliest on account of the extent of damage caused to their houses. At least 80 percent of the entire houses of some people had been damaged.
"We are now living with relatives, who survived the earthquake," Ida, a resident of Munjul Pandeglang, remarked.
