North Sulawesi's government expressed its gratitude to the central government through its Ministry of Social Affairs for this assistanceManado, North Sulawesi (ANTARA) - North Sulawesi's Deputy Governor Steven Kandouw expects that the Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) will be delivered accurately to recipients, who have the right to receive it.
"North Sulawesi's government expressed its gratitude to the central government, through its Ministry of Social Affairs, for this assistance," he noted here on Wednesday.
Although Kandouw steered cleared of revealing details of the amount allocated to the recipients, he noted that the nominal amount of the family hope program assistance is quite large.
Kandouw expressed gratitude over the significant assistance that the Ministry of Social Affairs has offered, considering the population in North Sulawesi only stood at 2.6 million.
The evaluation of this distribution by the BPNT is important to observe whether the assistance will reach its target, he noted.
He expects the governments in North Sulawesi's districts and cities to perform well and clearly identify distribution issues.
Stakeholders and offices in districts and cities are expected to be proactive and personally approach the State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara), he affirmed.

The meeting for evaluation of BPNT's distribution should produce an output, and a report is expected to be sent to each regional head during the second week of February, Kandouw stated.
Some 15 districts and cities in North Sulawesi have low fiscal conditions, he added.
One of the variables to bolster economic growth, reduce poverty, and create jobs is government expenditure in addition to export and investment.
This government expenditure includes direct penetration from the government.
"We are grateful for the central government, through its Ministry of Social Affairs, to have a program such as this," the deputy governor remarked.
