It is necessary to (hone the skills) and assist workers of the tourism sector, especially for digital training, in a series of tourism promotion and developmentJakarta (ANTARA) - Manpower Minister, Ida Fauziyah, laid importance on the need for assistance and training to create a competent workforce in Mandalika's tourism sector.
"It is necessary to (hone the skills) and assist workers of the tourism sector, especially for digital training, in a series of tourism promotion and development," Fauziyah noted in a written statement here on Thursday.
The minister remarked that for creating superior-quality human resources in Central Lombok, the workforce should meet the qualifications, which could be honed through trainings that focus on skills sought after by super priority tourist destinations.

This is because there are so many interested workers, but sometimes, their skills did not meet the requirements of super-priority destinations, such as Mandalika.
Fauziyah laid emphasis on imparting trainings for both hard and soft skills to workers that were essential during the current conditions. The workers were expected to possess several skills and be able to multitask.
The ministry will collaborate with the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry as well as the Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Ministry in order to support the Central Lombok Government in readying competent workforce in accordance with the needs of the Mandalika labor market.
The collaboration aims to develop tourism villages and independent entrepreneurs around Mandalika. In addition, the ministry will assist with the promotion and participation of private business players, especially those in the Mandalika super priority destination.

"These trainings will be specifically for hotel workers to be placed in several hotels in Mandalika," Bahri remarked.
