Despite significant depression due to unfavorable economic conditions in the last two years, Mansury is confident that Indonesia has several sectors that can drive domestic economic recovery to achieve positive economic growth.
"We believe that the entrepreneurs' might will be one of the main powerhouses to propel our economic recovery and growth," he remarked during an online seminar for Muslim youth entrepreneurs in Jakarta on Thursday.
The deputy minister opined that state-owned enterprises, despite controlling one-third of the national economy, could not accelerate economic growth without collaboration with private sectors and entrepreneurs, including Muslim entrepreneurs.

"According to a study, Indonesia needs at least four million entrepreneurs, yet our current entrepreneur ratio is only at an abysmal percentage of 3.4 percent," he noted.
The ministry and state-owned enterprises, being part of the national Islamic economic society, will strive to encourage and support residents looking to start a career as an entrepreneur, he remarked.
Mansury highlighted the high level of enthusiasm among Indonesian youth and university students to start a business or establish a start-up company as a positive momentum to accelerate entrepreneurship in the country.
"This is clearly a positive momentum, as we often heard news about local start-up companies, with high valuations, because others are optimistic that their business will develop further," the deputy minister remarked.
Technology digitalization is also a factor that encourages residents, particularly the youth, to become an entrepreneur, he added.
"This mindset change is something that we hope would continue to the future," Mansury stated.
