PPP’s investment value in 2021 had touched Rp302.18 trillion comprising operation, construction, financial close, and contract signing.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Investment realization under the public-private partnership (PPP) scheme by 2021-end reached Rp302.18 trillion, according to development observation, evaluation, and control deputy at the National Development Planning Ministry (PPN)/ National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Taufik Hanafi.

“PPP’s investment value in 2021 had touched Rp302.18 trillion comprising operation, construction, financial close, and contract signing,” Hanafi noted during a hearing meeting with Commission XI of the House of Representatives here on Thursday.

He remarked that the projects to be realized under the PPP scheme fall under four categories: operation, constructions, financial close, and contract signing stages.

The operation stage, with an investment value of Rp89.61 trillion, comprises three projects in the telecommunication and informatics sector, seven projects in the service sector, and three projects in the drinking water sector.

Meanwhile, the construction stage with investment worth Rp138.2 trillion covers one project in the telecommunication and informatics sector, six in road, two in drinking water, one in transportation, one in electricity, and one in waste management.

Investment in the financial close stage worth Rp28.31 trillion comprises four in road, while investment in the contract signing stage worth Rp46.06 trillion comprises two in road, two in drinking water, and four in transportation.

PPP remains an alternative form of financing for the central government and regional administrations to provide infrastructure for the public, Hanafi highlighted.

The PPP scheme is supported by the regulations or complete law references -- akin to the Bappenas regulations, Finance Ministry regulations, and regulation of Central Government Finance Report (LKPP) head -- as its implementation corridors.

This year, the ministry has targeted 12 projects to be processed at the construction stage and seven projects, all worth Rp95.3 trillion, that can be offered and be cooperated under the PPP schemes

Some projects targeted to be constructed this year comprise the Jatiluhur drinking water supply system (SPAM), Patimban port, Anggrek port and Hang Nadim airport.
