Central Lombok, W Nusa Tenggar (ANTARA) - A government official from Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, confirmed the authority will offer strategically-placed rent-free stalls to local micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) to sell products during the MotoGP championship, Mandalika Circuit, in March 2022.

"The regional authority has collected data on MSMEs that will be able to use the stalls during the Mandalika MotoGP," Central Lombok District Deputy Head M Nursiah stated in Praya, Central Lombok, on Friday.

He affirmed that the offered stalls would be placed at more strategic locations as compared to the locations offered during the most recent World Superbike (WSBK) championship hosted by the Mandalika Circuit last year.

Nursiah expressed optimism that MSMEs would garner more profits after selling their products at the free-rent stalls that are offered in sizes of 20x20 and 20x40 square meters.

The stalls will be free of charge, as the regional authority will bear any incurred costs, and the stall allocation will depend on the MSMEs groups, he added.

"Local MSMEs can use the stalls free of charge, as the regional authority will be responsible for the rental fee," Nursiah remarked.

The district's deputy head is sanguine that local MSMEs would be able to make the most of the opportunity to ready their best products to garner profits and ensure consumers receive best-quality products.

"From now, MSMEs must start readying all the necessary aspects, including by offering their products in unique and attractive packaging to pique the tourists' interest to purchase them," he stated.

Meanwhile, Central Lombok District Head Lalu Pathul Bahri expressed joy over the economic growth driven by international events, such as the WSBK and 2022 MotoGP championships, hosted at the Mandalika Circuit.

"Those championships indeed infuse new life by invigorating economic and tourism growth in Central Lombok," Bahri remarked.
