Jakarta (ANTARA) - Office buildings in the capital city Nusantara (IKN) will be built with the shared-offices concept based on physical and digital connectivity, National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) State Apparatus Director Prahesti Pandanwangi stated.

"(This is a) state apparatus' working transformation, and government offices in future will be built on the basis of the concept of shared offices that prioritizes physical and digital connectivity between ministries and institutions," Pandanwangi noted during the webinar "Readiness of Infrastructure and Transfer of State Apparatus (ASN) to IKN in Early 2024" here on Thursday.

Pandanwangi explained that the workplace transformation for state apparatus is also strengthened through digital-based flexible working arrangements, wherein the working style of state apparatuses will be directed to be more informal, interactive, casual, and not limited to office spaces only.

"Flexible working arrangement that is based on digitality is the way of working that is more liquid, informal, informative, casual, and not limited to office spaces. We have actually implemented this because of the pandemic," she stated.

The government system of IKN is planned to be based on electronics (SPBE) through the preparation of SPBE general applications and business simplification across government sectors, she explained.

According to Pandanwangi, SPBE is part of the efforts to realize shared data between ministries and institutions in policy and decision making.

Working transformation is expected to create a pattern of relationships that can strengthen and facilitate collaboration between ministries and institutions, she remarked.

The cooperation is also expected to be more optimal, so that there are no more silos in every program run in the government, Pandanwangi emphasized.

Furthermore, construction of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) also supports the concept of walkability.

"The distance (to offices) requires 10 minutes of walking. If we look at it, there are a lot of open spaces that support social interactions," she remarked.
