"The 24 hotspots, which are spread across a number of areas in North Sumatra, are being monitored based on fashionable sensor monitoring via the Tera, Aqua, SNPP, and NOAA20 satellites," BMKG Medan forecaster Endah Pramita informed here on Friday.
Regarding the weather in North Sumatra, in general, she said that on Friday afternoon, light to moderate rains might likely occur in most parts of North Sumatra.
At night, light rain could potentially occur in most parts of Sumatra and cloudy conditions could prevail the next morning over most of North Sumatra.
On Friday, the air temperature was recorded at 17–34 degrees Celsius, the humidity was in the range of 60–95 percent, with the wind blowing southwest-northwest at a speed of 10–30 km per hour, Pramita said.
