According to an official statement from the Finance Ministry received here on Tuesday, the meeting would take place on April 18-23, 2022, in Washington D.C., the United States.
Indrawati started this series of agendas by meeting World Bank Managing Director Mari Elka Pangestu to discuss about World Bank's support for energy transition and Indonesia's G20 Presidency.
The Indonesian government was currently conducting an Energy Transition Mechanism (ETM) to reduce CO2 emissions through the gradual cessation of coal-fired power plants and developing renewable energy as an alternative.
The World Bank remains committed to support Indonesia's efforts in realizing the agenda as well as promoting Indonesia's G20 Presidency through a side event that brought up the Country Platform as a theme.
The minister also met with South African Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana to discuss about global economic developments and efforts to anticipate the impact of inflation and increase in global commodity prices.
They also discussed global health issues, especially new funding mechanisms to deal with pandemics in the future.
The issue of world financial architecture also touched the subjects of assistance for poor and vulnerable countries in addressing debts as well as issues pertaining to sustainable finance.
Godongwana expressed his support for the G20 Presidency of Indonesia and expects Indonesia to succeed in leading the discussion and achieving the deliverables targets set despite the current difficult situation.
Minister Indrawati also met Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to discuss about challenges in navigating various dynamics in the G20 forum for Indonesia.
Sitharaman expressed confidence that Indonesia would be able to respond to these challenges and succeed in achieving the targets.
As part of the Troika, India fully supported Indonesia's G20 Presidency and expected intensive cooperation to continue the agenda of the G20 Presidency during the coming Indian G20 Presidency in 2023.
