"The theme of 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger' emphasizes on the unity of all the nations, government, people, and institutions for accelerating the post-COVID-19 pandemic recovery," Bharti noted in a special interview with ANTARA here on Wednesday.
According to the Indian ambassador, the theme of Indonesia's G20 presidency this year wholly aligns with the current global needs.
"The Indonesian Presidency’s theme of 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger' captures the needs of the time," he affirmed.
"This clearly shows that the focus of the world economies is on doing their part in accelerating the combined response against the pandemic. Hence, the theme of 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger' aptly describes the need of the hour," he stated.
Hence, Bharti echoed India's full support to the three broad priorities of Indonesia's G20 presidency -- global health architecture, digital transformation, and sustainable energy transitions -- which will contribute to strong, sustainable, balanced, and inclusive
growth for all.
He also noted that the Indian Minister of Trade and Industry as well as India's G20 Sherpa, Piyush Goyal, had earlier participated in the first G20 Sherpa meeting held by Indonesia in December 2021.
"The G20 is a premier forum for international economic cooperation. It reflects the recognition that global prosperity is interdependent and our economic opportunities and challenges are interlinked. All the G20 countries have come together to better prepare for the future," the Indian ambassador emphasized.
