Everyone can utilize the data for the purpose of developmentJakarta (ANTARA) - Village data based on Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can become a foundation to determine the direction of village development policies, Minister of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (PDTT) Abdul Halim Iskandar stated.
Moreover, data based on Village SDGs can also serve as an important instrument in the utilization of village funds.
"With valid, complete, and up-to-date data, village governments can see the problems and potentials of villages in more detail," he noted through a written statement on Wednesday.
Village SDGs are formulated as an instrument for facilitating development in Indonesia.
Village data based on Village SDGs is micro in nature and can be utilized by all related stakeholders starting from the central to village level.
He believes that the secrecy of data will always be maintained and can only be directly accessed by certain parties, in this case, the village chief and village secretary.
"Everyone can utilize the data for the purpose of development," Iskandar noted during the Village SDGs reading and data collection event in Muntuk Village, Bantul, Yogyakarta.
"However, there is a positive side wherein the name and address of villagers, who suffer from extreme poverty, can only accessed by village chiefs and village secretaries," he noted.
Village SDGs-based village data update continued to be carried out, such as by updating the Development Village Index (IDM) data, the minister stated.
This is because data exploration was conducted at the level of community, family, and villagers that can provide more information as a form of data-fixing process.
Meanwhile, Village Head of Muntuk Marsudi admitted that Village SDGs-based village data can serve as a foundation in developing villages.
"With this SDGs data collection application, we really understand the people's exact condition. From there, we also have it determine the course of our policies," he remarked.
