"We received information that the 2022 Hajj pilgrimage will be in line with high air temperatures in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is expected to provide dissemination and education to pilgrims to be vigilant in dealing with this hot weather," he said in a written statement here on Wednesday.
According to Syadzily, the temperature in Saudi Arabia is currently reaching 40-44 degrees Celsius, and the temperature could be higher than expected.
To this end, he noted that dissemination and education related to the extreme temperature in Saudi Arabia needs to be continuously carried out by the government and Hajj officers in order to maintain the safety of pilgrims.
"Commission VIII of the DPR asks the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Health to educate the Hajj pilgrims to use an umbrella while they are outside the hotel," he said.

Syadzily appealed to the pilgrims to maintain good health and drink water to prevent dehydration during the pilgrimage.
Aside from that, he also advised the Hajj pilgrims to maintain healthy eating.
This year, Saudi Arabia has allowed one million pilgrims from various countries to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. Indonesia has been allotted a quota of 100,051 people for the pilgrimage.
Although it has given permission for foreign pilgrims to perform Hajj, Saudi Arabia has laid down two conditions for them this year. First, the pilgrims must not be older than 65 years and must have received a full dose of any COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Saudi Health Ministry.
Second, pilgrims traveling from abroad must have a certificate showing a negative PCR result, with the test taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure.
