"I hope the week-long festival will expand Indonesian products' access to the Kuwaiti market," she said.

According to the embassy, the trade potential for Indonesian spices in Kuwait is still open. "To date, there has been no Indonesian restaurant in the heart of (Kuwait) city," the embassy noted.
Kuwaiti cuisine is similar to that of other Middle Eastern countries, where spices such as cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, and nutmeg are used and which Indonesia can supply, it said.
Since 2021, the Indonesian government has initiated the theme of “Indonesia Spice Up the World,” with the aim of strengthening gastrodiplomacy, from upstream to downstream.
