The regular Hajj pilgrims comprised those flown in the first wave of flights via Madinah and those flown in the second wave of flights via Jeddah, according to data from the Hajj Media Center in Mecca on Monday.
The figure represented nearly 75 percent of the total 100,051 Indonesian pilgrims performing their Hajj this year.
Of the 72,092 Hajj pilgrims, 68,943 arrived in Mecca comprising 42,402 arriving from Madinah and 26,541 arriving from Jeddah.
On Monday, the last five flight batches of Hajj pilgrims from the first wave of flights will depart from Madinah for Mecca.
Normally, pilgrims arriving in Medina stay for some nine days in the city before continuing their journey by land to Mecca, while those arriving in the second wave of flights to Jeddah will directly embark to Mecca.

According to this year's Hajj Travel Plan, pilgrims arriving in Medina in the first wave of flight will began embarking for Mecca on Monday (June 27), while the last embarkation of the second wave of flight is expected to arrive in Jeddah on July 3.
Indonesian Hajj pilgrims are expected to be transported from Mecca to the Arafat Plain on July 7 to perform their wuquf -- compulsory stay at the Arafat during Hajj -- on July 8, coinciding with the 9th day of Dhu al-hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar, before Eid al-Adha next day.
