This is a good news.Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stressed that Indonesia’s only interests in conducting the peace-building mission were to seek solutions to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict as well as the global food, fertilizer, and energy supply chain disruption.
"Indonesia does not have any interest … because this (the conflict and the supply chain disruption) concerns the lives of hundreds of millions of people -- even billions," he remarked while conducting a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin at Kremlin Palace, Moscow, Russia, on Thursday, as quoted from a statement released by the Indonesian Presidential Secretariat.
Jokowi said he and Putin held extensive discussions regarding food and fertilizer issues.
The smoothness of the supply chain of the two commodities has become a humanitarian matter and the interest of the global community.
"Hundreds of millions of people, especially in developing countries, are affected by the disruption of the food and fertilizer supply chain," he noted.
Hence, Jokowi lauded his Russian counterpart’s support to ensure the security of food and fertilizer supplies from both Russia and Ukraine.
"This is good news. Regarding the export route for Ukrainian food products, especially through the sea route, President Putin has ensured (the security of) it," he remarked.

Furthermore, Jokowi said he had conveyed the messages from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to President Putin and was ready to bridge the communication between the two state leaders.

Prior to meeting Putin, he visited Zelenskyy at Maryinsky Palace, Kyiv, Ukraine, on Wednesday (June 29), as well as attended the G7 Summit on Monday (June 27).
