If you do not want to waste fuel oil, then immediately use battery electric vehicles, so that the country can reduce fuel oil imports, and the people can enjoy clean air
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chief of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Moeldoko invited local electric vehicle producers to showcase their works at the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) scheduled in JIExpo Kemayoran, here, on July 22-31, 2022.

At the PEVS press conference here on Monday, Moeldoko noted that several producers had already developed supporting parts for electric cars, such as battery and dynamo.

However, they do not have the space to exhibit their works. Thus, the PEVS can serve as a platform to showcase these parts, he remarked.

PEVS will also offer a good momentum for the Indonesian electric vehicle industry to immediately take a leap forward, he affirmed.

Moeldoko, concurrently chairman of the Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association (Periklindo), expects that the exhibition can be an event to edify the younger generation on the importance of renewable energy utilization through the application of electric vehicle technology.

"There may be children, who do not know yet what an electric vehicle is," he said.

The 2022 PEVS is the first electric vehicle exhibition held in Indonesia owing to which it is important for the event to provide as much benefits as possible, he emphasized.

The government continues to intensify various alternative energy facilities to reach the new and renewable energy utilization target of 23 percent within the 2025 national energy mix.
