Let us hope that the platform that was unveiled yesterday will be an important part of the health transformation in Indonesia in the technology sector.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The single platform SatuSehat, which means One Health, will be a historical milestone in comprehensive health service implementation in Indonesia, Deputy Minister of Health Dante Saksono Harbuwono has said.

"We continue to improve this platform," he told mediapersons here on Thursday.

"Let us hope that the platform that was unveiled yesterday will be an important part of the health transformation in Indonesia in the technology sector," he added.

On Tuesday, the Health Ministry unveiled the SatuSehat platform that integrates patients' medical record data with the Indonesia Health Services (IHS) platform.

According to the ministry, SatuSehat will act as a bridge between various application platforms of health service facilities, starting from hospitals, public health centers (Puskesmas), integrated health posts (Posyandus), laboratories, clinics, to pharmacies.

"With SatuSehat, there will be a collaboration with various health platforms that exist in Indonesia. Currently, they are still spread out with 400 platforms that exist across (the country),” Harbuwono said.

With the SatuSehat platform, the exchange of national health data is expected to become more efficient and effective. Through the single platform, health service access will also improve, he informed.

The SatuSehat platform will be beneficial for patients since they will not need to carry their physical medical records when they change hospitals. This is because the patients' medical records will be stored digitally.

For instance, medical workers will be able to look up laboratory records when a patient comes for consultation no matter where it is.

"Patients can go to different hospitals, but they can still have (access to their) medical records that are stored digitally," he explained.

As of Tuesday, 32 platforms of hospitals have been integrated with the SatuSehat platform.

The ministry is aiming to integrate 8 thousand health service facilities with SatuSehat by the end of this year.

All health facilities in Indonesia are expected to be integrated by the end of 2023.
