Jakarta (ANTARA) - The national database system Neraca Komoditas, or Commodity Balance, aims to support licensing simplification and transparency in exports and imports, Trade Ministry's Foreign Trade Acting Director General, Veri Anggrijono, stated.

"As a license provider, this (Neraca Komoditas) became the foundation for issuance," he noted during the webinar titled "Digitalization as a Means of Corruption Prevention, Prevent Commodity Corruption, and PNBP Optimization" held on Wednesday.

Neraca Komoditas provides accurate and comprehensive data as a foundation to formulate national policies related to exports and imports.

The system aims to provide business convenience and assurance to bolster investment and create jobs.

In addition, it aims to ensure the availability of consumption goods for the population and raw materials or supporting materials for the benefit of the industry.

In conducting overseas trade policy transformation, the ministry pays attention to three important aspects in regulation: Neraca Komoditas, 100 online and integration, and positive fictitious for business licensing.

This will promote transparency, simplification, compliance, and assurance that improves competitiveness, Anggrijono explained.

Neraca Komoditas has a legal foundation in Article 559 of Governmental Regulation No. 5 of 2021 and produces the Commodity Balance National System (SNANK) stipulated within the Presidential Regulation.

Through this legal foundation, ministries or institutions provide data related to the export and import demand plan as well as supporting data on the electronic system.

To this end, Anggrijono expects that entrepreneurs input valid data in the SNANK digital application, so that the ministry can easily verify data that comes in and the export import license can be issued more quickly.

Digitalization can expedite the license issuance process, he noted.

"From the start until it comes out, entrepreneurs can see the process," he added.
