As I have stated that as Gerindra cadre, I highly respect and follow the directives of (Gerindra) General Chairman Mr. Prabowo and he asked me to focus on ministerial tasks.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno reacted to a call for his resignation as a cadre of the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) Party.
"As I have stated that as Gerindra cadre, I highly respect and follow the directives of (Gerindra) General Chairman Mr. Prabowo, and he asked me to focus on ministerial tasks," Uno said at the Presidential Palace here on Thursday.
The call for his resignation as Gerindra cadre came after Uno expressed his readiness to run for president amid the party's decision to pick Prabowo as presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Uno said he is focusing on reviving the economy by meeting the people to better understand their aspirations and find solutions in accordance with President Joko Widodo's directives.
Uno said he often holds discussions with Prabowo about the economy and national development in the future.
