Data from the COVID-19 Task Force received here on Friday stated that the figure was followed by West Java Province, with 530 people; Banten, 316 cases; East Java, 297 cases; and Central Java, 82 cases.
The positive confirmed cases increased the number of daily national COVID-19 cases to 2,804, thereby bringing the total number of positive confirmed cases since March 2020 to 6,387,944 people.
It was also recorded that Jakarta Province had the most daily recoveries, with 2,147 people, followed by Banten, with 1,603 people; West Java, 541 people; East Java, with 342 people; and Central Java, 140 people.
Thus, on a national scale, the daily recovery rate increased by 5,346 people, thereby bringing the total to 6,194,953.

Meanwhile, there were 12 additional deaths; two people each in Jakarta, East Java, Yogyakarta, and North Sulawesi.
Moreover, one death each was recorded in West Java, Bali, South Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
The COVID-19 Task Force also stated that the number of active cases that included COVID-19 patients still undergoing treatment and self-isolation as of Friday, reached 35,250 active cases, a decrease of 2,554 people as compared to the day before, on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Moreover, 5,038 people fell into the suspect category.
These results were obtained after testing today on 69,102 specimens from 31,150 people examined in hundreds of laboratories all across Indonesia.
The daily positivity rate for specimens stood at 7.57 percent, while the daily positivity rate for people was capped at nine percent.
Expert from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta Bayu Satria Wiratama stated that medical tests were able to optimize protection for the elderly and other vulnerable groups from the attack of COVID-19 variants.
"The elderly still have to be cautious, of course, one way is that they must routinely undergo health screenings," he stated.
