In fact, the occupancy rate is 95 percent, and this is higher than apartments with 70 percent occupancy. We have a high demand for this (type of housing)
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The occupancy rate of houses with zero down payment (DP) facility has reached 95 percent, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan informed on Saturday.

"In fact, the occupancy rate is 95 percent, and this is higher than apartments with 70 percent occupancy. We have a high demand for this (type of housing),” he said in a written statement here.

The government has played a role through its intervention in the form of the zero down payment facility to help the program run well, he added.

Meanwhile, head of the Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Area Service, Sarjoko, said that registrations for housing with zero down payment facility are being carried out online through the Residential Housing Information System (Sirukim) application.

"Registration can be accessed through the Sirukim application, which is also connected to the population system application (managed) by the Jakarta Population and Civil Registry Service and the tax system application managed by the Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency," he informed.

Sarjoko said that the application is helping officers verify data regarding the validity of population administration and property ownership of prospective beneficiaries.

Earlier, Governor Baswedan inaugurated 1,348 residential units under the Jakhabitat zero down payment scheme at Kanaya Nuansa Cilangkap Tower and Pondok Kelapa Nuansa Swasana Tower, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (September 7, 2022).

Jakhabitat is providing quality and affordable housing for low-income communities through the Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Areas Service (DPRKP) in collaboration with Perumda Sarana Jaya.

The 1,348 inaugurated units comprise 480 residential units in Menara Swasana Nuansa Pondok Kelapa (236 studio units and 244 two-bedroom units) and 868 residential units in Menara Kanaya Nuansa Cilangkap (538 studio units and 330 two-bedroom units).

The construction of the two residential towers offering the zero down payment facility was carried out by regional-owned enterprise Perumda Sarana Jaya.

Sarana Jaya president director Agus Himawan said that the plan was to build four towers in Cilangkap, including the Kanaya tower, over a total land area of 2.9 hectares.

The facilities available at the housing include a health center, kindergarten, community hall, prayer room, playground, six shop houses, and 20 kiosk units.

Based on the Home Ownership Loan scheme under the Bank DKI Housing Financing Facility (KPR FPPR), the studio units in Kanaya tower are priced at Rp1.4 million and the two-bedroom units at Rp1.6 million.

At Menara Swasana, the price of studio units starts at Rp1.5 million and two-bedroom units at Rp2.7 million.

The Jakarta provincial government has now opened online registrations through the Sirukim application for Jakarta residents who have not bought a house before and have a maximum monthly household income of Rp14.8 million. The applicants need to hold tax-payer identification numbers.

This also confirms the commitment of the province’s Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) to meet their obligation to issue a Certificate of Flat Ownership (SHM Sarusun) in just two years from 2019. (INE)
