Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, as the leader of the G20 Sherpa Track, has said that the Indonesian Presidency is pushing for actionable results from the G20 Summit.

“President Jokowi (Joko Widodo) has repeatedly said that the results of the G20 meeting must come in the form of concrete deliverables. So, it is true that the concrete results will have their follow-up programmed," secretary of the ministry, Susiwijono, said at an online press conference, which was followed from here on Tuesday.

The Indonesian G20 Presidency is also seeking to lead by example, he added. For example, in order to steer economic inclination toward a greener direction, Indonesia has used electric vehicles in every event related to the international-scale meeting.

Indonesia has been using more electric vehicles, and some time ago, the University of Indonesia provided electric buses, as did some private entities, Susiwijono pointed out.

The programs arising out of this year’s G20 Summit will be reviewed together at next year's meeting.

"There is an annual forum so that we can review several agreements that have been conducted together," he said.

This year, in the midst of various global crises, Indonesia was able to contribute fairly, leading many to praise it, he added.

"Hopefully, all G20 countries will be able to attend the G20 Summit in Bali in November 2022. The most important thing is not only physical presence. Hopefully, we will be able to come to an agreement, which comes in the form of a leaders’ declaration," he said.

Commenting on several meetings under the Sherpa track that did not result in communiques, he said that each country had agreed on the technical substance of the chair statements resulting from each meeting.

“Its just (matters) beyond the technical substance which we still need to discuss together at this Sherpa meeting. With regard to the output target of the Summit, hopefully, later at the Summit, leaders’ declarations will be adopted, which have been discussed in the Sherpa (meetings),” Susiwijono added.
