"The fact-finding team, on Wednesday (October 12), will perform their analysis and draft the conclusion and recommendations, and we hope the final report can be submitted to President Joko Widodo on Friday," Mahfud said at a press conference here.
The fact-finding team, which was formed on October 3, initially targeted to complete the investigation within a month, but the President later asked for the final report to be completed in two weeks, he added.
"God Willing, we will finish even earlier in just ten days. This means that this Friday (the final report) can be submitted (to the President)," the fact-finding team's head said.
Mahfud, who is also serving as the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, further said that the team toiled for a week to seek facts regarding the tragedy, and Tuesday will be the last day for the team to obtain testimonies from relevant parties.

On Tuesday, the fact-finding team obtained testimonies from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK), Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI), match organizer PT Liga Indonesia Baru, and television station Indosiar, which broadcast the match, he informed.
"The team will continue obtaining testimonies from civil groups tonight," he added.
The team is currently verifying alleged errors and weaknesses in the match's organization and deviations from prevailing regulations on match safety, he said.
"If corrections relevant to the on-site implementation of FIFA regulations are needed, we will first consolidate the issue within our team before consulting FIFA representatives who will be dispatched to Indonesia to assist in the reform of our national football," Mahfud added.
The fact-finding team will also suggest legal breakthroughs if errors and weaknesses in regulations are detected, he said, adding that reform is necessary to improve the national football sector and prevent similar accidents from recurring in the future.
