Those, who experience eye irritation symptoms caused by tear gas used in the Kanjuruhan Stadium, can go to the Eye Center in Malang City, Dilem in Kepanjen, and Singosari Ken DedesMalang, East Java (ANTARA) - The administration of Malang District, East Java Province, will pay for the treatment of those suffering from eye irritation due to the tragedy at Kanjuruhan Stadium and has encouraged them to immediately visit an eye health service facility.
"Those, who experience eye irritation symptoms caused by tear gas used in the Kanjuruhan Stadium, can go to the Eye Center in Malang City, Dilem in Kepanjen, and Singosari Ken Dedes," Head of Malang District M. Sanusi stated here, Wednesday.
Sanusi noted that his side will take full responsibility for residents whose eyes were hurt after being exposed to tear gas in the tragedy that occurred at Kanjuruhan Stadium on October 1, 2022.
"Malang City residents will also receive the same facility because the incident occurred in Malang District, so it is still our responsibility," he stated.

Those suffering from eye irritation from being hit by tear gas in the Kanjuruhan tragedy could access services at designated health facilities by bringing a certificate from the village government for those residing in Malang District as well as a statement from the administrator of the neighborhood unit for those living in Malang City, Sanusi stated.
"Later, they will be welcomed at the Eye Center for data matching and collection because this is funded by the state budget," he explained.
Sanusi remarked that the Malang District Government used the unexpected budget (BTT) to cover the costs of treatment for victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy.
Several victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy are still experiencing eye irritation due to tear gas sprayed by security officers at the Kanjuruhan Stadium after a football match on the night of October 1, 2022.

The chaos broke out after Arema FC's lost to Persebaya Surabaya. The joint security officers from the police and the Indonesia Defense Forces (TNI) attempted to dispel supporters using tear gas.
The tragedy that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium resulted in the deaths of 132 people, among others, due to head and neck trauma, and lack of oxygen, causing hundreds of people to suffer injuries.
