BPJAMSOSTEK, as mandated by the law, protects all workers regardless of their profession, including the Regsosek survey and data collection officers.Jakarta (ANTARA) - Statistics Indonesia (BPS) has registered its Socio-Economic Registration (Regsosek) officers for the state-run Workers Social Security Agency’s (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan/BPJAMSOSTEK’s) work accident insurance (JKK) and death compensation (JKM) programs.
General secretary of BPS, Atqo Mardiyanto, and director for participation at BPJAMSOSTEK, Zainudin, symbolically handed over social security membership cards to three Regsosek officers as well as compensation to the kin of an officer who died on duty.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the BPS general secretary said that all Regsosek officers, whose number was pegged at more than 400 thousand, will be protected from work risks by registering for the insurance.
Regsosek refers to door-to-door data collection on population, employment, housing conditions, health and disability conditions, social protection, as well as economic empowerment, which is being conducted from October 15 to November 14, 2022.

Meanwhile, BPJAMSOSTEK’s director lauded the BPS’ attempt to protect the workers involved in the national data collection program.
“Thank you, Mr. Atqo (Mardiyanto), for inviting us to participate in supporting the big national program (the Regsosek). We have started working according to the MoU (memorandum of understanding) of BPS and BPJAMSOSTEK. Our team has moved to ensure that all Regsosek officers are registered," he said.
The benefits of JKK comprise cash assistance and/or health services for participants who experience an accident or illness due to their work.
Meanwhile, the benefit of JKM comprises cash compensation to heirs if participants pass away due to an accident or illness. If the deceased have children, they will receive scholarships from kindergarten to the university level -- or a maximum of Rp174 million for two children.
Zainudin said that his party is ready to collaborate with BPS to ensure that the data collection program runs well to obtain the required information.
“BPJAMSOSTEK, as mandated by the law, protects all workers regardless of their profession, including the Regsosek survey and data collection officers. All personnel of BPJAMSOSTEK are ready to support and provide the best service (to make Regsosek a success),” he remarked.
Head of the BPJAMSOSTEK’s Jakarta Kebon Sirih Branch Office, Muhyiddin DJ, also lauded BPS for registering all Regsosek officers for the social security program.
"BPJAMSOSTEK Jakarta Kebon Sirih is ready to support and always strives to provide the best service, thus the Regsosek officers will be more enthusiastic and optimal in conducting surveys, both in urban, rural, and remote areas throughout the country," Muhyiddin added.
