There is advanced civilization (knowledge) that we could adapt to our current livesJakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno extended an invitation to tourists visiting Borobudur Temple, a national super-priority tourism destination, to experience the Borobudur Trail of Civilization (BToC) tour.
"The program will educate us about the heritage around Borobudur Temple. There is advanced civilization (knowledge) that we could adapt to our current lives," Uno stated during the tourism product development facilitation handover ceremony in Magelang, Central Java, as per the statement here, Monday.
The BToC tour focuses on the interpretation of narratives from Borobudur Temple relief panels and their implementation according to local potential and culture in 16 villages within the Borobudur Temple area. Visitors are offered nine theme tourism trails.
He commended the tour as a quality cultural tourism product that has the potential to encourage the growth of local tourism and creative economic actors through providing supporting facilities and tourism site arrangement, as well as improving human resources.

By offering an attractive tourism package relevant to Borobudur Temple outside the temple itself, the program also aims to help preserve the temple that has a tourist carrying capacity of one thousand, he remarked.
"We have completed the Borobudur civilization trail, (and we invite you to) visit Borobudur and enjoy the BToC tour," Uno stated.
Apart from developing the new tourism package, the ministry also provides assistance in managing media and promotion and tourism package development to increase promotional and marketing reach.

The tourism package will include homestays operated by locals around Borobudur Temple that could offer new experiences for tourists, who will mingle with locals and experience the local way of life.
The minister also encouraged residents to spend their year-end holidays in Indonesia while ensuring that efforts had been taken to maintain tourism security from disaster and other threats.
"We assure you that there will be no security threats potentially harming your visit. We have also coordinated with regional authorities to increase vigilance against potential natural disasters," he remarked.
