"The Monas area will have a dancing fountain attraction starting at 7:30 p.m. local time," Head of the Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office Andika Permata informed here on Tuesday.
For New Year's Eve, the National Monument area will remain open to the public until 1 a.m. on January 1, 2023.
Likewise, the Kota Tua (Old Town) historic area, will be open until 1 a.m. and will be enlivened by performances by the Old Town communities.

Another tourist destination that will participate in welcoming the school holidays and enlivening the New Year's celebrations will be Ancol Dreamland, which will hold parades, art bazaars, art performances, musical performances, and firework shows.
Along Thamrin-Sudirman Boulevards, there will be a "Malam Muda-Mudi" or "The Night for Youths" event that will promote the car-free night concept.
Along the road, there will be a number of art zones, such as entertainment stages featuring different genres of music.
The art entertainment points for "Malam Muda-Mudi" will be located at Pos Bloc, Sarinah, MRT Bundaran HI Station, Imam Bonjol Street - Bundaran HI, Da Vinci Penthouse, Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), FX Sudirman, the Youth Advancement Monument or the Patung Pemuda Membangun, and M Bloc Space.

More New Year's celebration events will be held by each of the six city administrations. The events are scheduled to take place at Thamrin 10 in Central Jakarta city; in the courtyards of the North Jakarta and West Jakarta mayors’ offices; at Setu Babakan Betawi Cultural Village in South Jakarta; Old Shanghai tourist attraction in East Jakarta; and Untung Jawa Island in Seribu Islands district.
The Jakarta Environment Office (DLH) is planning to deploy as many as 3,180 cleaning personnel during New Year's Eve celebrations in the capital city.
"(It is expected that) by Monday (January 1), the entire Jakarta will already be clean from the rubbish left from the celebrations," head of the office, Asep Kuswanto, informed.
