Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Ministry has appealed to its staff at the central and regional levels to take part in its ongoing financial report audit with diligence.

"Let's keep on putting in efforts with regard to audit categories, on things which must be followed up. If not, then I will contact the work unit's supervisor," secretary general of the ministry, Himawan Arief Sugoto, said in an official broadcast here on Friday.

The ministry’s 2022 Financial Report Audit will be conducted from January 19 to May 5, 2023.

Inspector general of the ministry, Agus Widjayanto, said that his administration supported the audit and was ready to work with the National Audit Board (BPK).

"Hopefully, this activity can run accordingly so that the Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Ministry can get fairness opinion on financial information," he added.

He said he expected good communication among stakeholders during the activity.

"With regard to current challenges, those will be our consideration for improvement in the future. For fellow heads of regional offices, in the audit process, please pay attention to the required data presentation and always establish good communication," he said.

Technical controller 1 of the National Audit Board, Azwar Fahmi, opined that an institution's financial reporting is most crucial. Hence, he said he expected the ministry to receive a good opinion on financial information reporting.

"I expect that our communication will be better and smoother than before. With regard to these crucial issues, we need to monitor and solve them," Fahmi added.

The audit is based on the National Audit Board's Regulation Number 1 of 2017 on state financial audit standards (SPKN).

The activity aims to provide an opinion on the fairness of an institution's financial statements (LKKL) by considering the extent of audited financial reports' conformity with the Government Accounting Standards (SAP), the extent of financial information disclosure in the reports according to the set standards, as well as compliance with laws and regulations on financial reporting and the effectiveness of the internal control system.
