Whether it (the budget allocation) can be adjusted (or not), if it is important for community service, we will allow it.
Semarang, C Java (ANTARA) - Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo on Saturday emphasized the importance of inter-village coordination for achieving village development targets, especially regarding the establishment of infrastructure.

He stressed on such coordination in response to people’s aspirations on the construction of the village axis road, which is supposed to connect Nyemoh village and Tempuran village in Bringin sub-district, Semarang district, and has not been completed yet.

“Coordination between regions or villages is important. Since the village axis road connects one village with another, just use the village funds (of each village government) to build the road in their (respective) area, likewise with the adjacent village," he said during a visit to Nyemoh village.

If the village funds are not adequate for completing the infrastructure project, the village government can seek assistance from the city/district government and then from the provincial government, if funds are still lacking, he added.

The governor said that he will give permission for the adjustment of the allocation of the aid funds as long as they are truly spent for the benefit of the community.

Hence, it is expected that bureaucratic processes will be made easier so that the provision of public services can be optimized, he added.

"Whether it (the budget allocation) can be adjusted (or not), if it is important for community service, we will allow it. In fact, (the implementation of) bureaucratic services, which make it easier, must be encouraged and improved," he said.

Furthermore, Pranowo asked that the completion of the construction of the village axis road be discussed with the neighboring villages.

Through joint careful planning and mutual cooperation, the establishment of inter-village infrastructure can be finished, he stressed.

“The planning needs to be conducted with good coordination (with the government of other villages) so that one (village axis road) segment can be truly completed,” he said.

Once the project is completed, if the fund assistance remains, it can be proposed to be shifted to other development projects, he added.
