Jakarta (ANTARA) - Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that the data security system for SatuSehat application users is similar to that of banking applications.

"The confidentiality is similar to using a credit card. If we use an ATM card, we are not afraid regarding whether our data will be spread to other banks, right? The security system is the same as the SatuSehat platform," he remarked after inaugurating the Kanigara Building at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in Jakarta on Friday.

Sadikin remarked that the security system for the SatuSehat application has a level of confidentiality that is equivalent to that of the global banking system.

"Internationally, this security system exists in the banking industry. (For SatuSehat), we choose the good security standard," he remarked.

The minister noted that transformation of the COVID-19 application, PeduliLindungi, to the SatuSehat platform was conducted in the same format that allows data exchange.

"If the patient is being referred to a hospital, then before the patient arrives, the data will already be available in that referral hospital. All data will be integrated not only between hospitals but between hospitals and laboratories, pharmacy, and community health center (puskesmas) as well," he explained.

The SatuSehat system is designed to accommodate health workers accessing the patients' data in order to provide the best health services for patients, the minister stated.

On a separate occasion, the Health Ministry's Chief of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO), Setiaji, said that his side had coordinated intensively with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) to ensure that the development of SatuSehat, both the platform and for mobile, had met the specified security aspects.

"SatuSehat has also been registered with the Electronic System Operator (PSE) in the Strategic category of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics," Setiaji explained.

He stated that masking and data encryption were conducted to maintain the security of SatuSehat Mobile user data.

"Apart from that, related to the Electronic Medical Record (RME) feature, user concerns will also be taken into account to access data exchange between health facilities. Thus, their medical record resume data can only be accessed by related parties with the permission of the data owner (patient)," he remarked.
