"The disbursement of allowance will begin on D-10 of Eid al-Fitr. Approximately on 4th April, it is going to be disbursed," the minister noted in a press conference here on Wednesday.
The 2023 allowance will be given to all state apparatuses and pensioners comprising state civil apparatuses in the central government, National Defense Forces, and national police personnel, as well as state officials, all totalling up to 1.8 million people, she noted.
Moreover, 3.7 million regional civil servants also include teachers, who receive bonuses.
The minister stated that the allowance comprises the salary or pension, coupled with relevant funding, such as for family, food, structural and functional position, and other bonuses.
In addition, 50 percent of the performance allowance will be added to the total for those who are eligible, she stated.
"Just like in 2022, the religious day allowance this year is also coupled with 50 percent of the monthly performance allowance for those who are eligible,” she noted.
Minister Indrawati stated that for government institutions, the bonus is capped at 50 percent of the salary, wherein the regional budget and law and regulations are considered in its calculation and disbursement.
Teachers and lecturers, who did not receive performance allowance or additional salary, are given 50 percent of the professional allowance as well as 50 percent of the lecturer allowance.
The minister stated that the disbursement of THR is expected to maintain economic recovery in a stable manner.
"This is consistent with our affirmation that is assisting people, particularly disadvantaged groups, through the state budget that caters to disadvantaged groups by handing social aid, including food aid," she concluded.
