Indonesia is working fast in improving the quality of HR by carrying out the revitalization of vocational education and training
Bogor, West Java (ANTARA) - The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture emphasized that the revitalization of vocational education and training is an effort to improve the quality of human resources (HR).

"Indonesia is working fast in improving the quality of HR by carrying out the revitalization of vocational education and training," the ministry's Deputy for the Coordination of Education and Religious Moderation Quality Improvement, Warsito, stated in Bogor, West Java, on Thursday.

He made the statement at the Deputy Meet the Press event that raised the theme of "Super Priority Programs in Human Development and Culture."

Warsito explained that the revitalization aligns with President Joko Widodo's directive during the launch of Presidential Regulation Number 68 of 2022 on the Revitalization of Vocational Education and Training.

"The president, in his directive, emphasized that disruptions in various sectors demand prompt adaptation and the emergence of new jobs that require mastery of new skills," he remarked.

He noted that the revitalization of vocational education and training is also needed to make the most of the demographic dividend.

According to Warsito, vocational education and training are currently being focused on utilizing the demographic dividend to support HR development that is based on skills and training.

"Moreover, job opportunities must be filled by Indonesian HR that have the expertise, dedication, good work ethics, enthusiasm, and a big dream to realize Indonesia's progress," he affirmed.

The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture is upbeat that in the coming years, vocational education and training would continue to be strengthened to prepare children of the productive age group.

Warsito said the ministry also encouraged the strengthening of collaboration between industries and educational institutions in supporting the revitalization of vocational education and training.
