It (the supply) is predicted to increase by 40-60 percent during the Eid (mobility) period
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry inspected the availability and distribution of fuel oil (BBM) and gas ahead of the Eid al-Fitr exodus and return flow, especially on the southern route of Java.

"I see the infrastructure and supply in the southern lane is quite ready. It (the supply) is predicted to increase by 40-60 percent during the Eid (mobility) period," the ministry's Director General of Oil and Gas, Tutuka Ariadji, stated here on Saturday.

Ariadji visited Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, Friday (April 14), to check and ensure fuel availability and distribution ahead of Eid there.

"The tanks are adequate at the Pertamina (petrol stations). Then, the filling system, from which terminal (the fuel) will be distributed, has been prepared," he remarked.

Meanwhile, Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) member Eman Salman Arief said the distribution and supply of fuel at the Rewulu Fuel Terminal (TBBM) and some petrol stations in Yogyakarta are ready to serve the community during the Eid holiday season.

"We see that several gas stations in Yogyakarta as well as the Rewulu TBBM have been readied by Pertamina during the Ramadan month," Arief remarked.

He stated that the Rewulu Fuel Terminal and some gas stations in Yogyakarta are ready to handle the demand for fuel during the Eid exodus and return flow.

"We went to Rewulu TBBM to ensure its readiness to supply gas stations, including to Adisutjipto Airport and Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA)," he explained.

He expressed gratitude that the state oil and gas firm Pertamina had prepared fuel supplies to be safe and secure.

Earlier, he visited the gas station, with registration code 44.552.11, in Yogyakarta City and another one, with registration code 44.556.03, in Kulon Progo to ensure their reliability in serving the community.

He then assessed that fuel oil availability and distribution, including of certain types of oil fuels (JBT) and special task fuel (JBKP), were safe and running smoothly at the two gas stations.
