According to a press broadcast received in Jakarta, Monday early morning, the President and the First Lady arrived at the location at around 17:05 local time and were directly welcomed by Hannover Mayor Belit Onay and his spouse Derya Onay.
President Jokowi and the First Lady then proceeded to enter the typical European-styled architecture building of the town hall and received brief information on Hannover from the mayor by showing the city's diorama.
Thereafter, President Jokowi and Mayor Onay ascended the stairs to engage in talks in a working room.
The President and the First Lady headed to the Rasstube chamber to sign the state capital golden book thereafter.
In his statement, the Hannover mayor expressed his gratitude for the President's visit and Indonesia's contribution as an official partner country in the 2023 Hannover Messe, which is Europe's largest industrial exhibition.
The mayor also lauded Indonesia for its commitment in supporting the exhibition.
"Once again I would like to deliver my deepest gratitude to Mister President for Indonesia's contribution as a partner country in supporting Hannover Messe. We highly appreciate Indonesia's commitment," Onay remarked.
