The Industry's Ministry vocational education and training unit is prepared to produce competent industrial human resources who are ready to work.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of the Industry Ministry is exploring global cooperation in providing Industrial 4.0 human resources (HR) on the sidelines of Indonesia's participation at the 2023 Hannover Messe.

The cooperation was discussed by BPSDMI head Masrokhan with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia (LBBP) to France, Andorra, and Monaco, Mohamad Oemar, during a meeting held on the sidelines of the 2023 Hannover Messe regarding global cooperation in the development of industrial HR development programs.

Masrokhan said that his agency, through a vocational education and training unit specializing in the industrial sector, is ready to cooperate globally in providing industrial human resources to French companies in the automotive, food and beverage, leather processing, and chemical sectors.

"The Industry's Ministry vocational education and training unit is prepared to produce competent industrial human resources who are ready to work. For now, we are able to answer the challenges related to Industry 4.0 skills," he informed in a statement received here on Monday.

He said that France is Indonesia's strategic partner in international economic relations, marked by at least 160 companies operating in Indonesia.

The cooperation potential for increasing French investment in Indonesia would involve providing industrial HR to French companies in Indonesia as well as cooperation in increasing the capacity of industrial HR through an internship program for students and teaching staff in France, he informed.

"We are ready to start the pilot cooperation to develop global industrial HR with BPSDMI through several activities, one of which is a vocational program," Ambassador Oemar said.

As the official country partner at Hannover Messe, apart from showcasing the strength of national industrial technology, Indonesia is also encouraging industrial connectivity with the global supply chain network, including in the field of providing Industry 4.0 human resources, Masrokhan said.

According to him, the potential for cooperation at Hannover Messe is large enough to support the 4.0 technology transformation process, especially in priority industries, with the help of the Indonesia Digital Industry Center 4.0 (PIDI 4.0).

The cooperation would include the development of industrial HR related to Industry 4.0 through the implementation of several capacity-building programs, such as the placement of mock-ups/holding of showcases of machine and multimedia equipment worth up to 700 thousand euros at the exhibition center at PIDI 4.0 under its technology transfer program, and the utilization of mock-up lines of multimedia machines and equipment.

This could be followed up with the development of education, training curriculum, training programs, and organizing capacity-building programs, including visits and exchange of learning materials, experts, learning modules, curriculum, technology, and/or technical personnel, he said.
