Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi stated that this was conveyed by Jokowi during a bilateral meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on the sidelines of the 42nd ASEAN Summit here on Wednesday.
"Indonesia's commitment to continue to improve economic cooperation was conveyed, including Indonesia's keenness to be involved in development in Cambodia, especially infrastructure projects," Marsudi remarked while delivering a statement after the bilateral meeting.
In January 2022, Indonesia had enhanced economic cooperation through the inking of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on tourism cooperation.
The MoU was signed by Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno and Cambodian Tourism Minister Thong Khon in Sihanoukville.
The MoU served as an update over a similar agreement that was reached on March 16, 1999.

The latest MoU emphasized several forms of cooperation in tourism promotion and marketing, tourism destination management, private sector, capacity improvement, MICE as well as event and connectivity.
Meanwhile, Indonesian Ambassador to Cambodia for the 2018-2023 period, Sudirman Haseng, also offered Indonesia's assistance to Cambodia in developing railway infrastructure.
This was conveyed by Haseng while undertaking an official visit to meet Governor of Svay Rieng Province, Men Vibol, on June 17, 2022.
The Indonesia-Cambodia bilateral meeting was held after Jokowi led the plenary session for the 42nd ASEAN Summit's opening at the Meruorah Convention Center here at 10 a.m. local time.
At the start of the bilateral meeting, Jokowi lauded Cambodia's support to Indonesia's chairmanship in the 2023 ASEAN.
