Earlier, acting governor of Jakarta, Heru Budi Hartono, said that the provincial government and the transportation office had discussed office working hours arrangement in Jakarta for easing traffic congestion.

"(The arrangement of office working hours in Jakarta) was discussed with the Transportation Office. I have asked (the office) to arrange an FGD and collect the activists," he said.

Hartono informed that his office has suggested dividing the start of working hours into two sessions, one from 8 a.m. and another from 10 a.m.

According to him, the separation of working hours would allow employees to take their children to school.

Each company will be able to adjust the working hours based on its condition.
