Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, will lead a special task force for accelerating investment realization in the country's new capital city (IKN), Nusantara.

Spokesperson for the minister, Jodi Mahardi, said here on Monday that the task force has been established to improve coordination between the IKN Authority (OIKN) and ministries/agencies related to accelerating investment in IKN Nusantara.

“(It will work) to improve coordination between OIKN and ministries/agencies, supported by comprehensive problem identification, clear work plans, and completion targets," he informed.

Earlier, OIKN head Bambang Susantono said that the government has formed a special task force to support coordination between ministries and institutions for accelerating investment in IKN.

"The special task force team is chaired by Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan," he stated, adding the task force will coordinate inter-departmental communication between institutions to support investment in IKN.

Susantono said that the government has also formed a land sector task force to ensure that the land offered in IKN Nusantara to investors is “clean and clear”.

"What will be offered to the investors are ready lands that already have the price, so they can immediately consider them based on topographic conditions, geology, access, and so on," he explained.

He said he expects that clear information on the offered lands would allow IKN investors to formulate sharper business plans.

Investors could also get the best prices based on the latest data and information.

Additionally, the authority has been tasked with creating a one-stop service center consisting of ministries and other relevant institutions to facilitate investors in obtaining information.

"Whether through us or the Ministry of Investment/Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the system is the same since we are part of one online system owned by BKPM," he said.
