SeBaRis is an entryway to interact with services from BRIN, including infrastructure and funding facility access in BRIN, Research and Innovation Facility Deputy at BRIN Agus Haryono stated.
Moreover, registered companies can receive super tax deduction proven with registration number from SeBaRis, he noted during the SeBaRis unveiling event streamed online, Tuesday.
"Thus, the ones that can register are not only research institutions at universities but also private companies and even research institutions, in general," he explained.
SeBaRis is the implementation of Article 40 of Law No. 11 of 2019 under which BRIN has the responsibility to operate research institution registration, he explained.
The agency expects that through the existence of SeBaRis, data concerning human resources, infrastructure, and budget from every research institution in Indonesia can be gathered, he noted.
This can provide a comprehensive picture concerning the development of research in Indonesia.
Moreover, the data can be used to identify the number of research institutions in Indonesia, including the ones at the industry, universities, and independent, for comprehensive data collection.
"From there, BRIN can facilitate institutions while also allowing research institutions to become more optimal in the future," he noted.
Haryono explained that BRIN cooperates with several parties when it comes to implementing SeBaRis to aid in facilitating research institutions at the level of universities and private companies.
These parties include the Education, Culture, Research and Technology Ministry as well as the Investment Ministry.
The cooperation is undertaken, so that the system will not stand on its own but rather be integrated with other systems.
