Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA) - Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan has pledged assistance to a vocational high school in West Tulang Bawang District, Lampung, that has developed its own coffee product.

The assistance has been offered as part of efforts to help realize advanced human resources for an advanced Indonesia.

"Indonesia has a target to become an advanced country by 2045, and to realize it, we should synergize with all parties,” Hasan said in West Tulang Bawang Dstrict, Lampung, on Thursday.

The school, which is located in the district’s Daya Murni Village, has managed to set up its own coffee processing factory with the brand name To Me Coffee, he informed while stressing that its efforts and innovations must be supported.

To support the school’s endeavor, the minister has committed to providing coffee processing equipment, including coffee roasters and grinders, packing machines, and other machines.

“We will help To Me Coffee factory to have their own coffee processing tools, and we will also help market the products so the students can gain new skills for their future,” Hasan said.

Collaborations for nurturing young entrepreneurs at their schools could help them get jobs promptly after graduation, he added.

"What our generations need is to nurture our children to have enough skills to ensure they can get a job very soon to support the national progress," the minister stressed.

Meanwhile, a school student Aldi Yasin welcomed the minister's commitment to providing coffee processing machines that could support their production and increase their output.

A student in the school's culinary course, he said the coffee factory is a medium for study. He added that they could also create something for sale by processing the coffee.

"After (the equipment becomes) available, we hope the production output can increase because there are not many coffee plantations in West Tulang Bawang, and students here use the coffee from West Lampung for production while learning to market it," Yasin said.
