A survey conducted at the end of 2022 found that NLE implementation at the four main seaports of Indonesia made time and cost 25 to 50 percent more efficient.
"This survey serves as an evaluation for the strengthening of the NLE's implementation in 2023," he said at an online press conference on Monday.
"The plan is that NLE will be implemented at 34 more seaports, according to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment's plan," he added.
According to Presidential Instruction No. 5 of 2020 on the National Logistic Ecosystem reformation, the implementation of NLE is based on four pillars.
These comprise the simplification of business processes from government services, logistics platform collaboration, facilitation of payment at seaports through digitalization, and improvement of the logistics system and layout at seaports and airports.
The implementation of NLE at airports began at the start of 2022 through the mapping of airlifting business processes.
Meanwhile, the implementation of airlifting permits' piloting single submission and its system implementation will be carried out at more airports in 2023.
"Single submission for export has been tested at Sepinggan Airport, Balikpapan," Askolani informed.
Meanwhile, in Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, the ministry has conducted information dissemination with several other ministries and institutions that carry out services at airports so that the people have similar understanding concerning NLE implementation.
The Finance Ministry has also coordinated with the Air Transportation Office and Angkasa Pura, which manages Soekarno Hatta (Soetta) Airport, concerning airport logistics spatial planning for exports and imports in 2023 and 2024.
Soetta Airport’s spatial planning is expected to become a single end-to-end business process involving Angkasa Pura, the Air Transportation Office, and Customs and Immigration.
"This week, we will conduct consolidation there with related parties," he informed.
"In this step, we do it gradually. I expect that (the logistics spatial planning) can be tested at six major airports in 2023 and be completed in 2024," he added.
