Ni Nengah Widiasih managed to bag two gold medals in the 45 kg class for the best and the most lifting category after beating her rival the Filipino athlete Achelle Guion.
"I am very grateful because I managed to bring home two gold medals for Indonesia and this (result) matches the target during practice," Widiasih said after the match.
The athlete hailing from Bali did three lifts, namely 96, 98 and 99 kg. Her best lift was 99 kg and her total highest number of lifts was 293 kg.
In addition to winning two medals, Widiasih is also happy for bagging the medals with her best performance, and now, she even managed to improve her record compared to last year's ASEAN Para Games in Solo.
"The total lifts match the target. The best lift and total lift meet the target," the 2022 Tokyo Paralympic silver medal winner noted.

Despite managing to achieve her target in the 2023 ASEAN Para Games, she will continue to practice in preparation for the next match.
"After coming home from this, I will continue training because in August there is a world championship in Dubai, the (2024) Paris Paralympic qualification," she informed.
The other two medals were bagged by Eneng Paridah. She bagged one gold medal with the best lift of 76 kg.
Paridah also won one bronze medal with total lift of 146 kg, after losing to Lao athlete Latsami Sipaseuth (silver) and Filipino athlete Marydol Jatayna Pamati (Gold).
