Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Nusantara National Capital Authority (OIKN/NNCA), Bambang Susantono, said that the authority will invite many business investors to participate in the development of Nusantara Capital City (IKN Nusantara).

The Head of NNCA said that the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector can also be involved in building the IKN Nusantara.

“OIKN (NNCA) does not only target large investors, but also MSMEs,” said Susantono, in a press release received in Jakarta, Wednesday.

He also said that the IKN Nusantara is very promising and will be sustainable because they have a very strong legal basis that allows them to continue and guarantee the sustainability of the IKN Nusantara development project.

“Secondly, we provide several incentives, which exceed the average incentives we have in Indonesia," added Susantono.

The government of Indonesia will provide incentives to investors who decide to invest in the development of the IKN Nusantara, especially fiscal incentives, such as tax holidays, non-collective value-added taxes, super deduction taxes, and import duties.

Susantono mentioned that, in general, the tax holiday is Rp100 billion. However, in the IKN Nusantara the tax holiday will reach Rp10 billion to receive 20 to 30 years of tax holidays and the rate return will be more than 11-13 percent.

"In terms of the attractiveness of the investment, I believe, it is very attractive based on the character of your business to invest in the Nusantara Capital City in Indonesia," said Susantono.

Until the end of the year, NNCA has several commitments with international investors in developing the IKN Nusantara.

"There are at least five countries that are in the process (of agreement), including South Korea, then Japan, China, Germany, and also the UAE (United Arab Emirates)," Susantono noted.

The current cooperation agenda carried out by NNCA with various institutions is designed to create a blueprint and a master plan for the IKN Nusantara and campaign for the process and realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He said that IKN Nusantara will become a city that consistently and continuously implements its commitment to the areas of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG).

The Government of Indonesia attended the Ecosperity Week 2023 agenda, with the theme 'Breakthroughs for Net Zero' organized by Temasek Holding on June 6-8, 2023, in Singapore. Representatives spoke during the session 'A World Class Green Smart City', on Wednesday.
