Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara National Capital Authority (OIKN) on Thursday signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on the development of Nusantara Capital City (IKN Nusantara) with State Power Investment Cooperation (SPIC) and JOE Green Pte Ltd of Singapore.

Deputy Chairman of Funding and Investment Agung Wicaksono signed the agreement with Advisor of State Power Investment Corporation Steven Yeo, and Managing Director of JOE Green Pte Ltd Boediman Widjaja during Ecosperity Week in Singapore.

“SPIC believes that Nusantara is a great investment opportunity and we look forward to collaborate together,” Yeo stated in a statement received here on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Widjaja said that JOE Green is committed to supporting sustainability through the use of recycling material, and “Nusantara, with all of the incentives, is a perfect place to invest.”

The two companies, which work on renewable energy and waste management, are aligned with the OIKN’s top priority sector.

Nusantara aims to build up to 7.16 gigawatts from renewable energy power plants, to accommodate the 1.9 billion population in 2045.

OIKN promises to welcome all investors through Public Private Partnerships, direct investment schemes, along with tax and non-tax incentives, including land rights up to 95 years, they added.

“OIKN has more than 300 investment packages, with a total value of 2.6 billion USD, consisting of six top priorities and twelve high priority sectors,” Wicaksono said.

Nusantara is the future Indonesian capital city, as stipulated and regulated by Law No. 3 of 2022. It is located on the east coast of the island of Borneo, East Kalimantan.

Nusantara covers almost four times the area of Jakarta, which is approximately 256,142 hectares, while the sea covers 68,189 hectares.

Meanwhile, the Nusantara National Capital Authority (OIKN) is the executive to manage and govern Nusantara. OIKN is a cabinet level-agency formed by the Indonesian government, working directly under the President of Indonesia.
