"We will coordinate over all the aspirations and hopes. We will inform the relevant ministries to fulfill the hopes of ladies and gentlemen," Minister Puspayoga noted in Sigi on Friday.
During her visit to Central Sulawesi, Puspayoga engaged in a dialogue with people, who had fallen victims to the earthquake and liquefaction in Pombewe, Sigi District.
Some of the expectations put forth by the people include the need for a children-friendly space, establishment of elementary school and early childhood education, development of integrated service posts, as well as facilities to support micro, small, and medium enterprises.
The people said that they had to trek a long way to get to school since there were still none in that place.
The people also pointed to no infrastructure in the form of integrated health posts to support the medical needs in that place as well as no means to support economic empowerment through MSMEs.
In response to the hopes and aspirations, the minister said that her administration will coordinate with relevant ministries to fulfill the needs of the people.
She also urged the Sigi Government and Central Sulawesi Government to prepare the proposal so as to follow up with coordination with those ministries on the technical aspects.
Members of her entourage during the visit comprised Central Sulawesi Regional Secretary Novalina, Deputy Head of Sigi District Samuel Yansen Pongi, and some other relevant stakeholders.
The minister conversed with Pombewe residents from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. local time.
