"We are ready to utilize a hybrid system in the process of development of (apartments for) state civil apparatuses and defense personnel in Nusantara city," director general of housing at the ministry, Iwan Suprijanto, said here on Tuesday.
The hybrid system is expected to offer more efficiency in apartment development and result in more comfortable and eco-friendly residences, he explained.
He informed that at least 47 apartment towers will be developed for Nusantara city's state civil apparatuses and defense personnel. Currently, the directorate general is holding an auction for those apartments, Suprijanto said.
He drew attention to the method utilized for the construction of the apartments, which will involve the use of volumetric modules and conventional steel.
Conventional steel will be used to construct the emergency staircases, core lifts, corridors, and podiums, he said. Meanwhile, volumetric modules will be installed using cranes, stacked above the podium, before the addition of a facade to the exterior, he added.
"We want the state civil apparatuses and defense personnel who relocate to Nusantara city to live in a comfortable place so they will be enthusiastic in serving the people," he said.
The Public Works and Public Housing Ministry, through its Nusantara City Infrastructure Development Unit, is aiming to build 47 apartments for state civil apparatuses, starting from July 2023.
The ministry has expressed its intention to pursue the development of those apartments in the core area of Nusantara city.
The apartments designated for them will be designed in accordance with their position or rankings; the higher the position, the more spacious the accommodations will be. The smallest unit will be 98 square meter. On average, each of the 47 apartments will have 12 stories.
The apartments will be constructed based on the forest sustainability concept, thus not much forest area will be depleted in the construction of the buildings.
