Four officials will be trained in each village, Secretary of the Directorate General Paudah informed in a press release issued on Thursday.
Therefore, the total number of participants will reach 133,832.
While opening a Training of Trainers (ToT) for village officials here on Thursday, she said that before conducting the training of village officials, the directorate general will first train the trainers, whose number is targeted to reach 1,120.
The training for trainers will be carried out in 33 provinces. To this end, she highlighted that preparation for training needs to be made so that it can run well and optimally.
She further said that the continuous strengthening of village officials' capacity is an urgent need.
She also noted that because the areas that need to be handled are vast and the total number of villages in the country has reached 75,256, the capacity-building of village officials will have to be carried out in stages.
At Thursday's event, she also stated that the capacity-building training will include training for village officials; training for determining, establishing, and validating village borders; and training or technical guidance on village financial and asset management applications.
Furthermore, it will also include training to strengthen village consultative bodies; training to strengthen village cooperation; training to strengthen village community institutions or village customary institutions; and training to strengthen integrated health posts (posyandus).
