Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned enterprise PT Kimia Farma Tbk ("KAEF") distributed 12 cows and 10 goats at the locations of the company's work units and production facilities in Jakarta, Bandung District, Semarang, Jombang District, and Subang District.

"This activity is known as the Kimia Farma Healthy Qurban Program, which is part of the company's corporate social responsibilities," KAEF's General Manager of General Affairs and IT Rony Hidayat noted through an official statement on Friday.

"This program is the result of collaboration between KAEF and its subsidiaries, namely PT Kimia Farma Apotek, PT Kimia Farma Trading and Distribution, PT Sinkona Indonesia Lestari, and PT Phapros Tbk," he remarked.

The Kimia Farma Healthy Qurban Program was implemented by distributing qurbani meat packages to the public and employees. For this year, there are 94 shohibul qurban, or those who perform the sacrifice, assisted by the company, with total distribution of 1,300 qurbani meat packages.

The Kimia Farma Healthy Qurban Program within the context of Eid al-Adha 1444H was undertaken as a form of compassion toward fellow human beings.

"This programs aligns with the second point of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) related to the effort to achieve food and nutrition security," Hidayat stated.

The sacrificial animals were bought from local farmers, who are KAEF's guidance partners, with the goal of helping them prosper and achieve economic equity based on the eighth point of SDGs, he added.

Sacrificial animals provided by KAEF had undergone health and eligibility examination before they were distributed, he noted.

He stressed that the company remains committed to implementing public social programs and supporting the improvement of the people's social prosperity.

Maulana, one of the recipients of the qurbani meat, lauded this activity and expects that this activity can continue to be held.
