He mentioned that AI can assist in traffic monitoring and adjust traffic light timings based on information from Google's database.
An AI-based application can also enhance the traffic management system and calculate the actual traffic volumes at the intersections.
With the help of this technology, the Jakarta Transportation Service can determine the ratio between road capacity and traffic density.
"The traffic lights can identify which section is more congested and prioritize longer green lights for that congested spot," he remarked.
Additionally, the service will prioritize public transportation, such as TransJakarta buses, at the intersections.
The 20 intersections powered by AI are located at:
