Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemenkominfo) is preparing media center services or media center and fast internet access to support successful dissemination of information on the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) scheduled next year.

"Kemenkominfo is responsible as the coordinator or person in charge of media, documentation, and promotion. To facilitate the media in covering the 10th WWF peak event in Bali later in May 2024, we will provide a media center," Director General of Information and Public Communication (Dirjen IKP) of Kemenkominfo Usman Kansong noted in a press release received, Wednesday.

The media center is facilitated by various services, including a work space with fast internet support, outlets for media, meeting rooms with the media, and a press conference room.

Moreover, other accommodations have been readied for media crews to ensure that their nutritional intake can be maintained.

"We also prepare other aspects, such as food and beverages, so that the media (crews) are also comfortable in reporting," Kansong stated.

The media center's services are prepared for media crews coming for live reporting on the site as well as those unable to come.

Kemenkominfo provides press releases that can aid in disseminating information on the 10th WWF that will take place in Bali.

It is estimated that some two thousand journalists will personally attend the 10th WWF in Bali, as the forum is an international-scale event, involving 170 countries and several heads of state that are scheduled to attend.

"Registration for access to coverage will be open H-3 months. We are preparing the microsite, and we are preparing advisory media and coordinating visa matters because there are certain regulations that need to be coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," Kansong remarked.

The WWF is a triennial international meeting event that is attended by several countries.

In its 10th implementation in Indonesia, the theme raised was "Water for Common Prosperity" as a contribution to the discussion of this global strategic issue.

Six sub-themes to be discussed at the 10th WWF 2024 cover disaster risk reduction and management, knowledge and innovation, water security and prosperity, sustainable water financing, water for humans and nature, as well as governance, cooperation, and hydro-diplomacy.
